How much space do we need for a retail mezzanine?
The most important consideration should be how high the ceiling is. The ceiling height should allow for enough room above and below the mezzanine floor for its intended use. For example, if you expect shoppers to browse products on your mezzanine it’ll need enough headroom to do so. The regulation minimum height is 8ft between the ground floor and then the mezzanine as well as the mezzanine level and the ceiling.
Could I have a multi-tier mezzanine?
A multi-tiered mezzanine floor is often a great idea and is quite a common choice. Having more than one or two levels means that you have much more room to expand as well as usable space. You may be able to use one level as an office rather than a shop floor for example.
